DIGITAL DESIGN • UI DESIGN • WEB/EMAIL DESIGN • GRAPHIC DESIGN • VIDEO • MULTIMEDIA DESIGN
These are some of the NGOs, publications and charities I have volunteered my time and digital skills to in assisting them with their endeavors and fundraising. Some of the volunteer work I've done was through the volunteer platform "Global Giving," which puts vetted (it's by invitation-only) professionals like myself in contact with vetted NGOs and other charitable organizations around the globe to aid them in today's digital world.
Read To a Child
Read to a Child is a national literacy and mentoring non-profit that fosters a love of reading, improves literacy skills, and empowers underserved children by inspiring adults to read aloud to them regularly. I have worked for the past 5 years on their fundraising initiatives and yearly drives, which have included web banner creation, social media assets and outdoor (OOH) digital billboards and digital assets like presentation templates as they were needed. This is a small sampling of the type of volunteer work I completed for RTAC.

Frad Cartagena
Frad Cartagena is a small animal rescue and sanctuary in Cartagena, Columbia. They rescue and keep dogs, cats, farm animals, birds, and any other animal that needs rehab or sanctuary. Some of these animals are abused, neglected, others are just hungry or strays. I worked with them to design banners for a fundraiser they were doing. They are a vetted NGO through Global Giving. There was a small reward given for this project by Global Giving which I received and in turn donated it to Frad.

Iracambi
Iracambi is a small NGO located in Brazil that is at the forefront of protecting Brazil's rainforest and its denizens therein. They work tirelessly in this effort. My work with them included creating digital buttons for their website in two states, static and rollover. Their website is a CMS/Wordpress site and I helped them with that as well. This too was a connection made through Global Giving, and in this effort I was awarded a small monetary reward, which I donated to Iracambi.

PUNK Magazine
This is not an NGO, and not a charity by any means, but is was probono work I completed for them. It is a NYC original publication that started at the onset of CB's and Punk Rock. I met John Holmstrom, the founder, at an event and we got to talking. I told him if he ever needed a hand with publications, layouts, or web work to just give a ring, and he did. While a talented illustrator and humorist himself, he is not too versed in web workings. I went on to design and make composites of images for the products he was selling for his website and make changes to that site where needed; reworking homepage as well. In turn I talked him into giving me a very old PUNK Magazine that he had in his possession and of which he only had ten left. It was an edition that I had as a kid and was gone to the ages. The one I got to replace it is in pristine condition. He was also publishing a book about the magazine at the time and he sent me over a signed copy. I did connect him with the Leukemia/Lymphoma society to which they supplied him a link/banner of their own to be used on their website. He did this in memory of his good friend Joey Ramone. That link and these images are still on his site here.
